LEAD UP Summer Academy 2024 will be held from June 29 through June 31, 2024, at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. KU LEAD UP is a 3-day and 2-night event that will be held on the KU Lawrence campus from Monday, July 29th, 12 pm through Wednesday, July 31st, 12 pm. Youth participants will receive college prep guidance, support, and experience living on campus. Eligible youth are invited by the partner program (ThrYve) to participate. KU staff from ThrYve and LEAD UP will host and chaperone the program and event in partnership with partner programs. There are limited spaces reserved for the LU Summer Academy. If you would like a space reserved to participate, finish this interest form ASAP and then, complete the application process.
Students may be invited to participate who are: (1) in 10th through 12th grades and (b) are in good standing with a sponsoring Lead Up partner program in which they participate.
There are application and consent forms that both the youth/student and parents/guardians should complete immediately to reserve a space. There are three forms as a part of the application process to be completed including (1) one application to be completed by the youth participant and two forms to be completed by parents including (2) a consent form and (3) the parent survey.
